The date for the 2010 edition of the Pro AV Golf Tournament has been changed from September 21 to September 28, 2010. The tournament will still be held at the Glen Eagle Golf Club in Caledon, ON, with teams enjoying a barbecue lunch, networking opportunities, and good times all in support of the Friends of Music Therapy which supports the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children Music Therapy Program. The fifteenth edition of the KoSA International Percussion Workshops and Festivals was held July 27 to August 1st at Castleton State College in Castleton, Vermont. For the sixth consecutive year, KoSA awarded full scholarships to attend their annual event. The prize package included full tuition, as well as room and board. Three full-time scholarships were awarded to: Arianna Fanning (USA), Scott Davidson (USA), and Erik N. Peterson (Canada). The KoSA Scholarships were courtesy of the following companies: Evans, Mapex and Zildjian.

NAMM has announced the final registration and exhibitor numbers for 2010 Summer NAMM. At show close, NAMM reported a four percent decrease in registration from last year’s event, with 12,463 total registrants for the three-day event. Exhibitor numbers were slightly up at the Nashville Convention Center during this year of economic recovery, with 383 companies displaying and demonstrating products.
