At 4:45 p.m. on November 1, 2009, drummers across North America joined together and played the same beat at the same time. Over 1,242 participants joined in from nine cities across North America for the second annual Big Beat. Just Drums, exclusive drum retailer operating out of Toronto, organized the sole Canadian venue, which housed 65 drummers. Seattle with 260 drummers and Houston with 150 drummers both had huge turnouts. About $65,000 raised for various charities and causes, the Toronto recipient being the Daily Bread Food Bank...
