The global music products industry can expect to see thousands of business opportunities and expanding member benefits on arrival to Anaheim for the 2016 NAMM Show. The more than 96,000 people expected to attend from Jan. 21 to 24 will have the chance to experience the latest in music instruments and products, while learning from fellow industry leaders about the best music-business practices. The 2016 NAMM Show floor plan posted today, offers a first look at new features, pavilions, education areas, and more.
On Sept. 1st and 2nd, AMX Canada and Techni+Contact we will be launching the second leg of their cross-Canada product conferences near Montreal to showcase all their commercial lines.
These events will entail an intense half-day of workshops from manufacturers, table top presentations, and demos. Snacks, refreshments, and lunch will be provided as well as door prizes and giveaways.
There will be four identical sessions over two days. Seats are limited so those interested are encourage to register soon, say the companies.
Exhibit booking are up over 10 per cent from last for Summer NAMM 2015, which will be held July 9-11 at Nashville’s Music City Center. Organizors say this year’s show will be characterized by expanded professional development offerings, a surge of first-time exhibitors, and an amplified presence from pro audio brands.
“Our members who have attended Summer NAMM these past few years have told us how important it was to their growth and success,” says Joe Lamond, president and CEO of NAMM. “The industry is changing and opportunities are emerging quickly. We are dedicated to producing this efficient and affordable mid-year gathering to assist our community music store members and the exhibitors who support their growth.”
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, PRS Guitars is hosting a free two-day event this June featuring a free concert at Rams Head Live in Baltimore and an open house at PRS Guitars’ manufacturing facility in Stevensville, MD.
The free concert is on Friday, June 5th at the Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD. Attendees to this all-ages concert will be treated to performances by Col. Bruce Hampton & The Aquarium Unit featuring Jimmy Herring and the Paul Reed Smith Band with Dennis Chambers on drums and Rhonda Smith on bass. A third act will be announced closer to the date.

The convention program is organized in a three track program format, which features sessions targeted for the novice print music employees, print buyers or managers, and owners or general managers. There will be no repeated presentations.
