Formerly the senior vice president of research and development for the Fender Musical instruments Corporation, Chapman will be responsible for product strategies at Fishman including enhancing new product development methodologies, new product conceptualization, advanced technology research, and assisting with artist relations.
Gaetan Fournier has joined Intellimix/AVL Media Group as service department manager.
Fournier has more than 15 years experience in the pro market service field. The company says Fournier’s experience in customer service and insight of the needs for the pro market support is a welcomed addition to its team and that its customers will benefit from his expertise.
Intellimix has announced that Dale Sitar has been appointed as its new sales representative for the MI market in Western Canada. Sitar has over 30 years of experience in the MI, pro audio, and live sound markets.
He started at the age of 19 working for Great West Imports in the graphic arts department. Intellimix says that when he became a sales representative for Great West he turned a “down” market in Alberta into a top producing market, eventually becoming buyer and general sales manager for the company.

Two Old Hippies Stringed Instruments has named Colin Besancon as global sales manager.
Breedlove has been located in Central Oregon for 25 years and Besancon has been a part of the organization for almost 14 of those years. During his tenure here he has held various positions from being a builder of the instruments to the product design and development, and has also represented the company in sales.
Shure Incorporated has announced that president and CEO Santo (Sandy) LaMantia intends to retire, effective July 1, 2016.
As part of a planned succession, he and Rose L. Shure, chairman, will appoint current executive vice president of global operations, marketing, and sales and COO Christine (Chris) Schyvinck to succeed him as president and CEO. On Jan. 1, 2016, Schyvinck will take on the added title of president, and will serve in this role until her appointment as president and CEO on July 1, 2016.
