Steve Kosters, CEO of Intellimix and AVL Media Group, has announced that industry veteran Andrew Hope has joined the company in the role of managing director for AVL. Hope comes to AVL after spending more than 25 years with GerrAudio Distribution.

KMC Music has announced the appointment of industry veteran Terri Shaw to the position of director of sales for the KMC Division, JAM Industries LTD, with primary responsibility for supporting and expanding sales programs with key national accounts that include Amazon, Guitar Center, and Musician’s Friend, among others, according to KMC Music Vice President of Sales James Tsaptsinos, to whom she reports.
“Terri is an experienced sales professional who brings more than 20 years of industry experience to her new position at KMC Music,” Tsaptsinos says. “She will play a major role in helping us to further develop and expand our strategic programs and day-to-day operations with key national accounts. Mira Wölfel has assumed responsibility for the new Sales & Planning Department of Musikmesse and Prolight + Sound. She is now responsible for the sales activities, customer support, and planning and organisation of the two fairs with particular emphasis given to opening up new markets and customer segments. In this position, Wölfel reports to Michael Biwer, Group Show Director of the ‘Entertainment, Media & Creative Industries’ Business Unit.
Wölfel studied International Relations at Saint Joseph University in Beirut and has been with the Messe Frankfurt Group since 2005. She initially worked in the Visitor Services Department before moving to sales in 2011. As sales manager in the ‘Consumer Goods’ Business Unit, she was responsible for the consumer-goods fair, Ambiente, and the related Tendence trade fair. In July 2015, she moved to the Prolight + Sound Sales Team where, most recently, she was in charge of the audio section.

The Avedis Zildjian Company has announced that Victor Filonovich has been appointed category manager, Cymbals, effective immediately.
Filonovich joins Zildjian from Latin Percussion and brings over 25 years of experience working with artists, dealers, distributors and consumers on developing compelling drum/percussion products and successful sales programs.
Filonovich was recently the global director of product management for both Latin Percussion and Toca Percussion. Filonovich worked at LP for 24 years, managing and leading the development and implementation of numerous new products including five U.S. Patents. Prior to LP, Filonovich worked for Pearl Drums.

TASCAM has named Joe Stopka to the position of director of business development. In his new position, Stopka will be responsible for pursuing and developing new business opportunities for the Tascam brand in both live and studio music production, as well as recorded sound for film and video.
Beginning his career as a commercial and industrial music studio guitarist, composer, and producer, Stopka transitioned to sales and marketing of MI and pro audio technologies with a U.S. AV integration and pro audio rep firm and distributor. He brings extensive expertise to his new position, based on many years of working with brands including Sony Professional, MIPRO, Electro-Voice, Eventide, and others.
