Audio Distributors International (ADI) has announced its appointment as exclusive Canadian distributor for the Auratone brand of studio monitor speakers.
Founded in 1958 in Thousand Oaks, CA, and family owned for over 50 years, Auratone disappeared when it’s founder and president Jack Wilson passed away a few years ago. The Auratone 5C Super Sound Cube was used in many major recording studios worldwide and by many top producers and engineers, such as Quincy Jones and Bruce Swedien, for “real world” mixing. The company has now been revived by Wilson’s grandson, Alexander Jacobsen, who has relocated the company to Nashville, TN. All products are still made in the U.S.
“It’s not every day that you can say ‘this is the real thing’ but in this case it is! I personally sold hundreds of 5Cs during my retail years in the ‘70s and ‘80s and I did business with Jack Wilson for years,” says ADI President Richard Lasnier. “It’s truly uplifting to once again be able to offer this one-of-a-kind original and acclaimed product to the Canadian market.”
