The Canadian DJ Show presented by Pioneer DJ has announced its 2015 Toronto dates. Previously a two-day event, the 2015 Toronto CDJ Show now features a third day of events, educational sessions, and networking opportunities. It’ll be taking place March 13-15 in downtown Toronto and will focus on professional development, unique training opportunities, and exclusive product releases for DJs, producers, and music enthusiasts of all skill and experience levels.
The 2015 venue is the Hilton Toronto, located at Richmond Street West and University, in the heart of downtown Toronto. It is a larger venue than previous years with more space to accommodate larger exhibits, special features, and guests than ever before. The CDJ Show features the latest equipment, technology and information that the DJ and music industries have to offer. Organizers say this year’s show will easily be the biggest in CDJ Show history.
The CDJ Show and zipDJ present The Annual Industry Panel, moderated by Nick Fiorucci from Hi-Bias Records. The lineup of music industry guests on this panel will include Stuart Knight, managing director for Toolroom Records in the UK.
New to the CDJ Show in 2015 is The Radio Exposure Panel. This panel of radio DJs, including “The People’s DJ” Danny D, Flow 93.5 music director Cory Balash, Chin Radio’s Frank Frenzy, and more to be announced.
The show this year will feature two Q&A sessions. One with Matthew Adell of Wax Trax! Records, former VP of Napster, and CEO of Beatport until last year The other will be with Stuart Knight, Managing Director of Toolroom Records.
The CDJ Show Main Stage, powered by Electro-Voice, will run all day Sunday, March 15th and will feature an array of talent, including: Adam Nics, Loud Luxury, The NightOwls and more names to be announced. DMC Canada will be hosting a set featuring DMC DJs Wunderkut, DJ Shub, DJ Grouch, D-Scratch, and more.
Another new addition to the CDJ Show presented by Pioneer DJ is the GetSigned networking opportunity for artists, producers, DJs. Full Pass holders will be able to submit demo/sample work and sign up to have the opportunity for major labels, indie labels, management companies, publishers, promoters, and club owners to contact them to schedule meetings at the GetSigned Meet being held at the show on Saturday March 14th. Several other panels, Q&As, interviews, seminars, and workshops will bring first-hand music industry knowledge to show attendees with topics ranging from: legal advice from entertainment lawyers, live performance workshops, business and career development, and more. Confirmed guests include: Randy Bartlett, Peter Merry, Liz Daley, Vicki Musni, Paul Sanderson, Stu Chisolm and many more.
The 2015 CDJ Show will run similar to previous years, with the educational conference events running Friday and Saturday to Full Pass holders, and the exhibit hall opening on Sunday for all attendees. Friday will also include educational events that will be available to invited VIP guests and end-users selected by the featured manufacturers. Seminars will continue on Sunday but will be limited to Full Pass holders. Exhibit Pass holders will have access to the exhibit hall, main stage events and the show store. At the conclusion of the show, Full Pass holders in attendance are entered into a draw to win some great prizes from the show’s exhibitors.
One of the most popular events in past years has been the The Networking Social – an opportunity for all full pass holders, exhibitors, guests, and VIPs to converge and discuss industry topics in a light and laid-back environment. This year, CDJ Show has decided to go to the next level with The Networking Lounge, which will be set up during the conference for attendees to hang out any time of the day. It will run for the duration of the show.
Through the CDJ Show’s social media outlets, organizers will announce more networking opportunities, as well as after-parties and other social events.
