Zildjian Percussion Faculty Opens At Berklee College Of Music

On Oct. 15, 2013, The Avedis Zildjian Company celebrated the official opening of the Zildjian Percussion Facility at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. The percussion facility is comprised of ensemble and practice rooms, offices, and a complete assortment of Zildjian cymbals. The opening of the Zildjian Percussion Facility marks another chapter in the Zildjian Company’s long-time support of the college.

Zildjian also endows Berklee scholarships through the Avedis Zildjian Percussion Scholarship Program in honour of CEO Craigie Zildjian’s grandfather as well as scholarships honouring Max Roach, Roy Haynes, Elvin Jones, Louie Bellson, Steve Gadd, and Terri Lyne Carrington.  In addition, the Zildjian Company has established the Armand Zildjian Artist in Residency Program at the college.
