Irene Besse Keyboards continues a quarter-century of support of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) by furnishing a selection of the concert grand pianos for the Pianomania! performance at the Epcor Center.

A first for Calgary, this display of musical virtuosity will showcase six winners of the Honens piano competition simultaneously playing Bechstein, Bluthner, Fazioli, and Steinway concert grands with the CPO.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra to make a selection of the world’s finest concert grand pianos available for this remarkable event,” says Irene Besse, President, Irene Besse Keyboards. “To hear instruments of this caliber played together promises to be an unforgettable musical experience.”

Irene Besse Keyboards plans to spread the magic of the Pianomania! event throughout the community. On Saturday, November 26, piano technicians are invited to the Grand Hall at IBK’s location at 6999, 11th Street S.W., for a workshop with the chief executives of the C. Bechstein, Bluthner, and Fazioli piano companies.

On Sunday, November 27, the public is invited to view and play instruments featured in the Pianomania! performance in IBK’s Grand Hall. This exclusive event will feature five, 9 ft. concert grand pianos together in a single location for local musicians to play, study, and appreciate.

Irene Besse Keyboards support of Pianomania! continues a 25-year partnership with the CPO that has included supplying pianos and supporting fundraisers including the donation of a Steinway.
